Alocasia Sanderiana
A relatively new Alocasia variety with large, steely blue leaves and deep purple undersides, native to the Philippines.
The leaves are thick, waxy, and glossy, featuring a blue-green hue with striking white veins. They are large, arrow-shaped, and have serrated edges. Often referred to as the “Kris plant” due to the leaf’s wavy margins, resembling the traditional kris sword.
How to care for your Alocasia –
Water:Â Alocasia need their soil to be moist at all times, do not allow to dry out.
Light:Â They enjoy bright but indirect sunlight, direct sun can scorch the leaves.
Humidity:Â They love warmth and humidity, a bathroom or kitchen would be a perfect spot.
Temperature:Â They prefer warm temperatures about 20 degrees C.
