Originally from Mexico, these fantastic “jungle-like” plants are becoming increasingly popular across the world. Their fleshy foliage is a particularly rich deep purple and their trailing habit  make them exceptional plants for both hanging baskets, rockeries, and tropical borders. They are an easy care plant, suitable as a gift or for a beginner. Tradescantia come in such a range of beautiful varieties there’s sure to be one for you! A gorgeous variety of Tradescatia “Brightness” has amazingly contrasting white leaves with stripes of green throughout, that almost looks hand painted!
How to care for your Tradescantia –
Water:Â Can be prone to root rot so allow to dry out between waterings, water less so in winter.Â
Light:Â Keep in bright indirect light, the brighter the more colour you will see on the leaves.Â
Humidity:Â They enjoy humidity but it is not required.Â
Temperature: Needs average to warm conditions 16-25°C but will be OK down to 10°C for short periods.
